The Techinnova incubator, supported by the Innogrow accelerator program, is excited to report the opening of applications to the Call MILANO CIRCOLARE – La città che Riduce, Recupera, Ricicla, an initiative promoted by the Urban Economy, Fashion and Design Directorate of the City of Milan, in collaboration with the business network NEMA – Rete Nuove Manifatture.

The event, which is part of an Action Plan on Circular Economy developed by the City of Milan within the European project Centrinno and the Air and Climate Plan, will be shaped as a two-day event (February 10-11, 2023) dedicated to players involved in the circular economy in the city of Milan, with particular reference to the Fashion and Design sectors. The activities related to the event, which are free and open to all, will take place in the innovative cultural center of BASE Milano, in the heart of the Tortona area, and will be divided into different moments:

  • Talks by experts;
  • Testimonials from other cities;
  • Workshops and demonstrations;
  • Exhibition of products;
  • Networking opportunities.

The goal of the event is to transform the immense deposit of urban waste and refuse that is gradually accumulating into a useful resource to reduce the consumption of raw materials and energy, as well as create new job and business opportunities. In particular, Milano Circolare aims at networking all the entities in Milan that operate according to the “3 R’s” that govern the cardinal principles of the Circular Economy: Reduce, Recover, Recycle.

As a result, the Call is open to companies, startups, academies, universities and research centers, associations and public and private entities active in the field of fashion and circular design, which have the possibility to participate in the event in 3 different ways:

  1. By presenting their activity in one of the sessions of the event;
  2. By exhibiting products or technologies;
  3. By organizing workshops, laboratories and/or demonstrations.

The deadline to participate in the program planned by the Call is January 11, 2023.
