Techinnova presents a new development video dedicated to RoboNurse Alpha v2.0, its healthcare robotics project designed to support monitoring, assistance and intelligent data collection in healthcare and assisted-living environments.
The new version shows a more mature prototype, integrating movement, sensors, dashboards and monitoring functions into a single system. RoboNurse is not conceived as a standalone autonomous machine, but as a practical technology layer that can bring connected care closer to patients and healthcare operators.
The video highlights the main features of the Alpha v2.0 version:
- Manual Control via RC Transmitter;
- Autonomous Driving with Obstacle Detection;
- Line Following;
- Health Monitoring Stations;
- Heart Rate Measurement, Blood Oxygen Level and Body Temperature Measurement;
- touch-screen Dashboard with integrated Apps;
- real-time data monitoring;
- visual monitoring from the robot’s point of view;
- Hazard Detection Alarm System.
A key element of this development path is the integration with COMMITMENT’s IoT Smart T-shirt, a wearable solution designed to collect vital parameters and monitoring data in real time, connected to digital and cloud-based platforms. In this perspective, RoboNurse and COMMITMENT work as two complementary layers: the robot as a mobile unit for assistance and observation, and the Smart T-shirt as a wearable interface for continuous monitoring.
Behind the prototype, there is a structured R&D path. The technology is supported by Techinnova’s granted Italian patent for a “self-moving robot and its operating method” and by an international PCT patent application, strengthening the project’s intellectual property foundation in robotics, IoT and smart healthcare.
RoboNurse has already been presented in the United States through INNOVIT – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in San Francisco, within the Hardware Robotics – IoT Smart Manufacturing track. The U.S. market remains a strategic environment for validation, industrial partnerships, innovation hubs, research centers and health-tech stakeholders.
The project is also connected to the collaboration with 2gethertech Corp., a U.S.-based company focused on licensing, developing and scaling innovative technologies in IoT, AI, healthcare and performance technology for the North American market.
Alongside the United States, Techinnova is also looking closely at the United Arab Emirates, where smart healthcare, digital transformation and technology-enabled care are becoming increasingly relevant. This perspective is supported by Techinnova DMCC, the UAE-based presence connected to Techinnova’s innovation ecosystem, and by Falcontech FZE, positioned within the RoboNurse–COMMITMENT pathway as a UAE-based clinical partner and potential Middle East pilot site.
RoboNurse Alpha v2.0 is still an evolving prototype, but it already points to a clear direction: bringing robotics, wearable IoT and real-time monitoring into new models of care that are more connected, more intelligent and closer to people.
