𝐋𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐬𝐢 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚. "PHYS-EX – Physical Hybrid Intelligent Sportswear Experience" sviluppa una nuova generazione di #sportswear intelligente: capi tecnici capaci di integrare #sensoristica avanzata, componenti stampati in #3D, #firmware e #PhysicalAI. Il progetto parte da quattro discipline – running, ciclismo, calcio e fit box – per sperimentare magliette intelligenti progettate per raccogliere dati durante l’attività sportiva, restituire informazioni utili all’atleta e mantenere nel tempo caratteristiche di modularità, riparabilità e aggiornabilità. All’interno di PHYS-EX, Techinnova si occupa della progettazione dei moduli sensoriali e del form factor dei capi, dell’integrazione tra elettronica e tessuto e dello sviluppo di micro-strutture interne stampate in 3D con una #resina eco-compatibile brevettata. Le soluzioni vengono sottoposte a #test pre-funzionali per verificarne la resistenza, l’aderenza al tessuto, la stabilità del segnale e il comportamento in condizioni vicine all’utilizzo sportivo reale. At Venture Dock, he attended "Build From the Dock: How Open Source Built the AI Revolution", featuring Travis Oliphant, Founder and CEO of OpenTeams, for a valuable discussion on the open-source foundations shaping today’s #AI ecosystem. The journey continued at Hej!Workshop with Industrious, the flexible workspace promoted by Ingka Centres and developed in connection with IKEA: an environment designed around collaboration, #community and new ways of working. Finally, Riccardo joined San Francisco Game Development at the historic DNA Lounge for "Legal Essentials for Game Developers: Privacy, Safety & IP", with insights from Jonathan Downing (Tyz Law Group PC) and Joe Newman (k-ID) on intellectual property, #privacy, online safety and digital #compliance. From open-source AI to collaborative workspaces and the legal challenges of emerging technologies, these meetings offered new perspectives and connections for Techinnova’s international innovation journey. This summer, four international students brought new ideas, energy and perspectives into the Techinnova team.
🇺🇸 Madison Freshour, an Economics student at the University of Michigan, and Siena Lipson, a Business and Entertainment student at American University, spent nearly two months with us through IES Abroad.
Madison supported our #communication, international matchmaking and business development activities, contributing in particular to the preparation of RIC3D – a company incubated by Techinnova – for World Health Expo Osaka 2026, as well as to partner research and European funding analysis.
Siena worked alongside our #administrative team, gaining first-hand experience of the organisation and daily processes that support innovation projects and international collaborations.
🇨🇿 We also welcomed Adam Držmíšek and Matyas Tobias, students from the Střední škola technická Vysoké Mýto, for an intensive two-week Erasmus+ placement focused on #3Dprinting, immersive technologies and computer #engineering.
Different countries, backgrounds and paths, but the same curiosity and willingness to learn.

Siamo felici di comunicare che Riccardo Roggeri (CEO Techinnova S.p.A.) è stato confermato come consigliere nel Consiglio di Amministrazione del Cluster Smart Cities & Communities Lombardia per il triennio 2026-2029.
La conferma è avvenuta in occasione dell’Assemblea Plenaria del Cluster SCC, ospitata presso la Sala Solesin di Regione Lombardia, in un momento di confronto tra imprese, università, centri di ricerca e istituzioni impegnati nello sviluppo di città e comunità sempre più intelligenti, sostenibili e connesse.
Per Techinnova si tratta di un importante segnale di continuità e di fiducia, che conferma il nostro impegno all’interno di un ecosistema strategico per l’innovazione lombarda. Da anni contribuiamo alle attività del Cluster mettendo a disposizione competenze, visione progettuale ed esperienza nel campo della ricerca industriale, del trasferimento tecnologico e della costruzione di percorsi collaborativi tra pubblico, privato e mondo accademico.
Guardiamo al nuovo mandato con entusiasmo e senso di responsabilità, pronti a continuare a lavorare insieme agli altri membri del CdA per promuovere soluzioni innovative a beneficio dei territori, delle imprese e delle comunità.

In our latest development video, Techinnova presents the new evolution of its healthcare #robotics project: manual control, autonomous driving, obstacle detection, line following, real-time data dashboards, visual monitoring from the robot’s POV and an integrated hazard detection alarm system. RoboNurse can also support health monitoring stations, measuring heart rate, blood oxygen level and body temperature, while integrating with COMMITMENT’s IoT Smart T-shirt to bring wearable-based patient monitoring closer to connected care. Behind the prototype, there is a clear R&D path: the technology is supported by a granted Italian #patent for a “self-moving robot and its operating method” and by an international #PCT patent application. After being presented in the United States through Innovit - Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in San Francisco, RoboNurse continues to evolve with an international perspective: from the U.S. healthcare innovation ecosystem to the growing smart healthcare opportunities in the UAE. This outlook is also connected to Techinnova DMCC, Techinnova’s UAE-based presence, and to Falcon Tech FZE, positioned within the RoboNurse–COMMITMENT pathway as a UAE-based partner and potential Middle East pilot site. Over the past few months, we had the pleasure of welcoming Carolina Berling and Smilla Wilhelmsson, two brilliant students from Chalmers University of Technology, into the Techinnova team.
They joined us for a Master Thesis & Internship experience, bringing curiosity, fresh perspectives, and a very positive energy into our everyday work.
Their research focused on topics that are very close to our ecosystem: #sustainableinnovation, #openinnovation, investment-readiness, and the development of scalable business models. But beyond the academic work, what we will remember most is their attitude: thoughtful, collaborative, and always eager to learn.
Having Carolina and Smilla with us was a beautiful reminder of how valuable international exchange can be. When universities, startups, research and people meet, innovation becomes something much more human.
Thank you, Carolina and Smilla, for being part of our journey.

Pasadena offered exactly the kind of setting Techinnova pays attention to: a place where #research, entrepreneurial #vision and real-world #innovation meet.
At the "Pasadena Innovation Showcase", held yesterday, April 13th, during #ConnectWeek and hosted by Innovate Pasadena in partnership with Alliance for Southern California Innovation, our CEO Riccardo Roggeri joined an ecosystem bringing together students, founders, researchers and companies working on ideas with concrete technological and market potential.
For Techinnova, events like this are valuable because they reflect the space in which we operate every day: connecting innovation with business development, technology transfer, international relationships and growth opportunities.
It was also particularly interesting to see contributions linked to academic institutions such as Caltech, University of Southern California and ArtCenter College of Design, in a context where early-stage ideas, scientific backgrounds and entrepreneurial ambition were all part of the same conversation.
A meaningful stop in California, and another opportunity to stay close to the environments where innovation takes shape.
