As an accredited professional investor and MiMIT-certified incubator of innovative startups, Techinnova S.p.A. is delighted to disclose its investment in the pioneering enterprise, innovative startup YHotel Lido Venezia S.r.l. Benefit.

The investment also saw personal involvement from Riccardo Roggeri, the CEO of Techinnova, channeling funds through the Innogrow acceleration program on the equity crowdfunding platform, Crowdfundme.

Why have we invested?

YHotel Lido Venezia Benefit is an innovative startup emerging from a synergistic partnership between Infinityhub, noted for its dedication to Green Energy projects, and the established Hotel Villa Mabapa. The venture is focused on the energy renovation of three of the hotel’s premises on the Venetian Lido: Villa Mabapa, Villa Morea, and Casa Pradel.

Born out of a drive to amplify sustainability within the hotel industry and to cultivate even more sustainable tourism practices in the Lagoon, the startup is committed to drastically curbing environmental impact by refurbishing current infrastructures with tried-and-tested sustainable technologies from Infinityhub, including photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. These enhancements are not merely targeted at bolstering the energy efficiency of the buildings but are also expected to lower operational costs in the long term.

YHotel Lido Venezia Benefit’s adherence to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards is reflected in its proactive engagement with the local socio-economic community and its partnerships with such bodies as the Associazione Veneziana Albergatori (AVA – Venice Hoteliers Association) and the Fondazione Venezia Capitale Mondiale della Sostenibilità (Venice Capital of Sustainability Foundation), both of which endorse the project. These collaborations are pivotal for advancing responsible tourism and for the conservation of the Venetian Lagoon’s heritage.

The investment by Techinnova S.p.A. and Riccardo Roggeri in YHotel Lido Venezia Benefit underscores our dedication to Sustainable and Responsible Investments (SRI), fostering initiatives that yield a constructive impact on both the environment and society.

The project’s roadmap anticipates the beginning of activities in May 2024 with the installation of photovoltaic arrays. This will be succeeded by an overhaul of the heating infrastructure and the development of a new pool, with the finalization of these projects slated for March 2025.

In essence, this endeavor is not just aimed at enhancing the allure and competitive edge of the properties involved but also at cementing Venice’s status as an international frontrunner in sustainable tourism.
